The purpose of alpha Kappa Delta Phi is to promote sisterhood, scholarship, leadership and Asian awareness in both the University and community. The sorority offers women a cooperative and supportive network of sisters to develop and achieve individual academic and career goals. alpha Kappa Delta Phi provides an environment where sisters are able to utilize their organizational and social skills. Members undertake several major projects such as philanthropies, socials and fundraising events throughout the year, hence providing practical experiences necessary to survive and succeed in the "real world." The sorority also strives to further the awareness of Asian cultures. Through the appreciation of the cultural diversity within the Asian ethnic community, alpha Kappa Delta Phi increases awareness and encourages a deeper understanding of others.The sorority is composed of highly motivated women with diverse backgrounds, interests, and fields of study. Each woman, however, shares a strong bond of love, friendship, and sisterhood. With a supportive network of sisters, each woman can strive to fulfill her personal, academic, and career goals.
